Jones Walker has two offices located in Washington, D.C.: Capitol Hill and Downtown. The Government Relations practice in the Washington, D.C., Capitol Hill office has grown quickly since its opening in 1990. Today we represent local, national, and international clients who have interests in legislation before Congress or in rules, regulations or administrative orders issued by federal departments, agencies and commissions. In 1999, Jones Walker formed a strategic alliance with the Livingston Group headed by former congressman Bob Livingston. The Capitol Hill office also focuses on a maritime law practice. The firm relocated its Washington, D.C., Downtown office in August 2005 to the Watergate Building, and from this location serves banking, insurance, financial services, and business clients in national and international corporate and litigation matters.
