Joe Parkey is a partner in Jones Walker's New Orleans office and a member of the firm's Corporate & Securities Practice Group. He has an active practice representing individuals and public and private companies in corporate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, public and private debt and equity offerings, recapitalizations, restructuring, joint ventures, and private equity investments. Mr. Parkey works extensively with clients operating in a variety of industries, such as oilfield services, oil and gas exploration and production, banking, insurance, steel production, manufacturing, securities brokerage, professional sports, and emergency management consulting. He also provides clients with advice concerning corporate governance, securities law compliance, and general contract matters, and assists clients in preparing SEC reports and proxy materials and drafting and negotiating corporate and commercial contracts. Prior to joining Jones Walker in early 2001, Mr. Parkey was an associate in the Atlanta office of Kilpatrick Stockton LLP.
