Tom Roberson's primary focus since joining Jones Walker in 1988 has been in the areas of commercial and corporate finance. He represents many of the firm's publicly held clients in connection with structuring, negotiating, and documenting syndicated credit facilities, public debt offerings, and project financings. Mr. Roberson has worked extensively with the treasury group of one of the firm's largest clients in connection with (among other things) a $1 billion secured working capital facility and the financing of various infrastructure projects in support of an Indonesian mining operation. He has also worked on several domestic and cross-border leveraged acquisitions.
Mr. Roberson also has significant experience with structured financing transactions representing various firm clients in sale/leasebacks, inventory and accounts receivable financings/securitizations, and other asset monetizations. He has also worked on, and is familiar with, standard ISDA and IFEMA agreements (and related schedules) for hedging interest rate and foreign exchange risk.
Mr. Roberson has been ranked in the area of Banking & Finance by "Chambers USA – America’s Leading Lawyers for Business" since 2005.
