Marc Hebert is a partner in the firm's Admiralty & Maritime, Business & Finance, and Government Relations Practice Groups. He practices in the area of general business law, with an emphasis on energy, international, marine, regulatory, and administrative law and litigation. He represents a broad range of clients, including large and small companies in the marine and energy, manufacturing, telecommunications, and transportation industries. Representation of clients includes work in the areas of contracts, personal injury, maritime and port/homeland security, insurance coverage, customs and international trade law, mergers and acquisitions, and administrative and regulatory law. Mr. Hebert also represents clients in foreign jurisdictions and before federal agencies and the U.S. Congress.
Prior to joining Jones Walker, Mr. Hebert was a partner with the law firm of Preis, Kraft & Roy in New Orleans, Louisiana, beginning in September 2002, where he managed the firm’s Environmental, International and Government Affairs Practice Groups. He practiced law with Bracewell & Patterson in Washington, D.C., from 1996–2002, and prior to this worked for the U.S. House of Representatives Government Reform and Oversight Subcommittee on National Economic Growth, Natural Resources, and Regulatory Affairs.
