Jamie Ruf Gurt is a member of the firm’s Real Estate Practice Group, focusing her practice on real estate development and financing. Her practice includes negotiating purchase agreements, lease agreements, and development agreements for commercial developments for national retailers, corporate clients and developers. Her commercial real estate finance experience includes numerous acquisition, pre-development, construction and refinance transactions, including financing for numerous multi-family housing projects in south Louisiana following Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.
Prior to joining Jones Walker, Ms. Gurt worked as an associate at Schulte Roth & Zabel LLP in the firm’s Real Estate Department, where her practice was concentrated in the areas of commercial real estate finance and real estate aspects of major corporate acquisitions. While attending law school, Ms. Gurt worked as a law clerk for the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission, assisting in review of land use and zoning laws affecting proposed developments.
