A non-attorney member of the government relations team, Wanda Freedman provides association management services for the firm's clients as well as government relations services.
She spent 18 years with Union National Life Insurance Company of Baton Rouge in various administrative roles and the last six of those years in a management role for the parent company, United Insurance Company of America in Chicago, a subsidiary of Unitrin Corporation.
Ms. Freedman spent five years with Phyllis Perron and Associates, Inc., a lobbying firm in Baton Rouge specializing in association management and government relations. She represented clients in a variety of industries including life and health insurers, property and casualty insurers, pharmaceutical manufacturers, and venture capital companies in both legislative and regulatory matters.
Ms. Freedman has participated in a number of political campaigns on a volunteer basis and on staff for a statewide campaign. She is a Fellow of the Louisiana State University Academy of Politics.
