Hope Spencer is an associate in the firm's Corporate & Securities Practice Group. Prior to joining Jones Walker, she worked as a staff attorney for Orleans Public Defenders, representing indigent clients in both misdemeanor and felony matters in Orleans Parish Criminal District court.
During the 2004–2005 term, Ms. Spencer clerked for the Hon. Stephen H. Glickman of the D.C. Court of Appeals.
Ms. Spencer received her J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School in 2004, where she served as Publication Manager and Student Editor of the Michigan Journal of Gender & Law. She received her B.A. with distinction and highest honors from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2000.
