A native of Monroe, Louisiana, Stephen Haedicke graduated cum laude and Order of the Coif from Northwestern University School of Law in 2001.  He began his career as a staff law clerk at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit in Chicago, where he focused on civil rights and federal criminal matters.  Afterwards, he moved to Athens, Georgia, where he worked as an Assistant Public Defender.  In 2006, he joined the compliance group of Jones Walker's litigation section.  He currently focuses on state, federal, and international criminal law matters and parallel proceedings, as well as engaging in complex commercial litigation.

During the fall, Mr. Haedicke teaches at the Trial Advocacy Program at Tulane University Law School.  He is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, the State Bar of Georgia, and the Illinois State Bar Association.

Representative Matters

  • Representation of health care professionals during state Attorney General's investigation of alleged euthanasia at Baptist Memorial Hospital in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina.
  • Conducted internal investigation of potential Foreign Corrupt Practices Act violations in Nigeria.
  • Established Foreign Corrupt Practices Act compliance programs for corporations with world-wide operations.
  • Defense of engineering company accused of illegal business dealings with Iranian entities.
  • Defense through jury trial of indigent individual charged with second-degree murder.
  • Defense of contractors in grand jury investigations of alleged Katrina-related fraud.
