An associate in the firm's Tax, Trusts & Estates Practice Group, Jonathan Katz received his Master of Laws in Taxation from New York University School of Law in May 2006. He received his juris doctor degree from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law in May 2005.
Mr. Katz' practice is predominately in federal, state and local taxation, with a focus in New Market Tax Credit transactions, federal alcohol excise tax credit compliance, and business organizations, mergers, and acquisitions. Although Mr. Katz' practice is primarily transactional, he is also involved in state and local tax controversies and estate planning and administration.
Mr. Katz represents the Young Lawyers division of the Louisiana Bar Association as a voting member of the Louisiana Supreme Court Judicial Council.
